I need a new pair of WORK boots. I will put your Magnum Work Boots through their paces inspecting various properties in Waukesha County relative to permits and violations, so those boots will go on excursions and see it all: wetlands and floodplains, meadows, woodlands, water, quarry sites (where safety boots are a must!), uneven terrain, dilapidated housing and buildings, farm fields and ag land, commercial and industrial buildings, parkland/trails, subdivision developments, etc. Waterproof boots with good traction are also a must! These boots will be my partner at work for at least 40 hours/week. I also have to maintain my yard and my parents yard when I am not working and that involves mowing, gardening, planting, weeding, landscaping, trimming, brush and tree cutting, raking, mulching, watering, shoreline restoration, snow removal in the winter months, etc. Then there are the DIY projects/chores around the house – painting, repairing, cleaning – house, cars, boats, etc, washing, etc. I need boots that can take the wear and tear and provide my feet good support in a warm, dry, comfortable, and breathable environment for the weekend! When it’s time for leisure activities, I love all kinds of sports, especially if they take me on outdoor excursions! Again, a good looking and comfortable pair of boots that keep my feet warm and dry are a must whether I am participating or spectating. Finally, I need a durable pair of boots to take the dog on all of her excursions as this is just another one of my never ending jobs!

We’re positive that these boots will stand up to the job!

  1. I am 18 and have my first full time summer job! I will be working for Public Works in the town I live. Basically doing anything from street repair work to washing the village vehicles. Since I am new to this I figure why not at least look like I have done this before! These would be my first pair of work boots ever owned and for that matter ever worn. After reading some of the entries above I know that these will be worn for much more than just work!

  2. I work in putting electric mains and services in all over Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, It saves lives to wear boots that have the steal toe and the electric hazard . It has saved my life more that once. Thanks Brandon Wells

  3. I need a boot that fits and is comfortable when I have to work long hours.
they also need to have a good safety toe and be waterproof since I spend alot of time in water.

  4. Boots for Underdog to kick the big guys butts!
I’m actually wanting these work boots for my husband Chris. We own and operate Underdog Towing & Roadside Assistance, an independent towing company in Wisconsin. and are on call 24/7/366 (leap year). At a moments notice we can be sitting down to dinner or sleeping in the middle of the night and he is up and out the door to help someone in need. Many times we put our resources into the trucks, house, kids or he worries about me first. I’ve been trying to get him to buy new work boots to take care of HIM… he says the ones he has are fine but they have very little tread left & little pieces keep coming off. Maybe if he wins them, he’ll actually realize how badly he needs them. :)

  5. I’M ON MY FEET 10 HOURS A DAY ON CONCRETE, SO COMFORTABLE BOOTS ARE A NEED. I WOULD ALSO USE THEM FOR WORK AROUND THE HOUSE AND DEFINITELY TO GO FISHING AND ANYTHING

  7. I would wear my magnum boots quading, hiking in the National onto Forest, gardening, just about everywhere when I’m not barefoot. I was told I need some good boots, but been waiting especially since winter just left. I’d probably sleep in them like I used to do when I was a little girl:)

  8. Frankly, I need a reliable pair of work boots. I live out here on a ranch and between fencing, chasing cattle, hunting, fishing, and bringing in the winters firewood plain old rubber boots just don’t cut it. My feet are begging for help!!!!

  9. any where I need them to take me – Any Where…………..

  10. Love to wear these boots camping, gardening, walking in the woods, popping a cold one and hanging with friends.

  11. My hubby’s Magnum Boots would take him to work and back every day. They’d take him to the commuter train stations and tracks where he oversees signage posting, they’d take him to printing workshops and warehouses where he picks up printing supplies. Basically, they’d take him to our bread and butter!

    Thanks so much!

  16. They look very comfortable and I like the heavy traction on them, good boots are hard to find.

  17. These look like “GREAT” boots!! I could really use a new pair! I have been off work since 9-11-2010 because of a fall from a ladder while installing gutters up for my father-inlaw. This was on my regular time on a Saturday just to help him out. I only got disability for 6 months, but still cannot work. I can never go back to my regular job or don’t know whenever I can ever work again. Money has been really tough for us (My wife and her 12 year old son) and we have been on assistance.(Have been tyrying for Social Security Disability and still am, but takes forever!) But I do what I can on the side and I go around all the roads and collect cans for recycling and turn them in for money! We don’t have a vehicle at the time either and I have to do alot of walking. And on top of it I have Osteoarthritis in all my joints including my feet and ankles and these boots look like they could really be handy for me! Thank you for the chance and offer! I know there will be alot of people entering, but I hope for once in my life I can be a lucky winner!

  19. My boots are made for workin”…and hikin’…and fly fishing and portaging canoes in Canada in the “bush”. A new pair of boots would certainly be appreciated by my feet and would be put to good use. I can send update progress photos for your adoption pages. Thanks for the offer.

  20. unemployed have been home with my wife 24/7 need some good boots to get outside and to some peace and quiet

  21. I would really like them for hunting and fishing. But I would also wear them for hiking and camping and for doing work around the house. Any outdoor activity that involves high quantities of mud and/or dirt!

  22. After 35 years working as a mason and masonry contractor, I now teach masonry at a community college. Like many people my age I experience more than my share of foot pain and fatique. It is very difficult to find a work boot that is durable, comfortable, and looks good over time. I often have to visit industry leaders, sometimes on short notice or they may drop by my shop without any notice. I need a pair of boots for all occasions: Working/teaching in the shop; stoping by to visit an advisory committe member on my way home from work; working in the yard; or weekend excursions such as fishing, hunting, etc. I would love to try a pair of your boots and see if they can stand up to the challenge.

  23. My work boots go from the office to the excavation/footing sites and back. That’s mud, snow, rain and dusty dry weather at residential and commercial sites. No day is too bad to do inspections. In the office, its from the desk to the counter.
After work its into my own truck its off to officiate high school sports. First impressions as you walk into a hgh school count. Look sharp, be assertive and enjoy what you do.
At home, there is the back acerage to tend to, mowing, trimming, tree cutting, firewood and Minnesota winter. Boots may make a year of good wear.
How good are your boots? I’d like to try them!
    Chuck

  24. I work in the public works of our city we patch streets dig and repair or replace drain pipe, cut grass ,trees we do it all, but after a day at work I go home to a beef cow farm where the fun begins. My boots will get a work out every day My MAGNUM boots will see it all.

  25. I have been in construction for 20+ years, currently supervisior I-2 ( industrial ) construction. When we find a piece of equipment or tool that ‘really works’ we share it with our team mates. Good solid footware is definitely considered a #1 tool in our world!!! I have different ‘slip on ‘ style boots, some of which have been resoled 3 times, and they just keep getting it!! I would love to give these Excursions a run. From their description, it looks like they could meet our high standards.

It would be nice to have a pair of boots that could ‘cross over’ as i am an avid hunter, and am taking my 9 year old son this year for the first time. I am sure I’ll be doing more walking in the woods with him coming this year.

I would love to try them!

  26. I’m afraid my uses would not be as exotic as some – no smoke jumping into blazing infernos, no zodiac-boat landings on distant shores of hostile lands – but for the practical side, I could use some serious foot comfort for two things which take a lot of my down-time. Keeping our yard, which takes in three lots and a wild, intentionally overgrown ‘wildlife area’, free of excessive natural debris is rough work; pruning dead wood, cutting up fallen limbs and cutting back vines and brush in some areas, besides the usual lawn work that everyone does, is demanding and goes on year round.
And a friend and neighbor supplements her income by ‘scrapping’ , which is not, as you might think, brawling in Spandex bodysuits for lecherous bettors, but rather, she collects discarded metal items ( old electric motors, ornamental bits of iron, fragments of aluminum or brass found in trash piles of on empty lots where houses had been demolished). She breaks down what she can to gather and group into bits of copper, iron, brass and aluminum to sell at a metal scrapyard, takes the rest to a recycling center. When i help her break down old speaker housings, fans, motors, etc., there are often a lot of shards and fragments of sharp metal or plastic lying around to be cleaned up, and solid footwear is a must. So that would be the primary uses, in addition of course to just wearing to look cool when I hand the valet at the country club the keys to my Ford pickup with 120.000 miles, no rear window, and a tailgate wired on with coathangers.

  27. i work in the oil field it dont take long to ware out a good pair of work boots

  28. I want them to take me to renewed health! After surviving a man-truck accident, everyday and everything is a workout and another step along the path. Having a pair of Magnum boots will help me keep putting one foot in front of the other as keep moving toward the goal.

  29. As good looking as these boots are, after a hard days work they would be on my feet when I head out for a night on the town.

  30. I need a over all good boot, i am on my feet almost 10 hours a day moving appliances, doors windows and any other types of construction goods for a local lumber yard, so i need a boot that the sole wears goods does not fall apart and has good traction in rain and snow, while i use a aluminum ramp. I have tried many other boots and shoes but none that really work for me. I would like to try these out!

  31. I go though a pair of work shoes every 8 months so I would put shoes to the test working on bulding Americas highways

  32. These boots will take me all over – at work and at play.

  33. I would think these boots would be good for the trip to work and back on the Dual sport bike, or a day at the local rifle range activities. Hunting for antelope in the sagebrush would work there too!

  34. When I am not inspecting a factory or job-site as an OSHA inspector, I am chasing the bad guys as a part-time police officer. They WILL be put to the test!

  35. I work in a factory, I build hot rods in my garage, I walk a mile into the woods for shooting, my feet work very hard, especially with my bad back. I would love a new pair………

  36. My wife likes me to wear them while we are making love.

  37. Besides work, I will definitely wear them shooting at the farm as well as for the many many projects I have to get done.

  38. Hiking and camping boots would be a welcome addition to my wardrobe.

  39. They will be handy just for everyday use around our country home.

  40. Looks like an excellent pair of boots! I know I’d get lots of use out of them on the farm and hiking!

  41. My boots are probably the most considered part of my work clothing. If my feet don’t work, then I don’t work. Boots have to be strong enough to hold up to the rigors of a stonemason and still be comfortably. That is not a small task. Boots have to look decent. The room limited room when traveling often means only one pair of shoes. So the boots have often to do double duty. Above all they have to be comfortable enough that I don’t regret putting them on each morning.

  42. When I am not at work as the county engineer for the largest county in Montana, I am working my small herd of registered cattle. These boots will be a nice fit (pun intended). Living in the high country of SW Montana with thousands of acres of public land as my neighbor allows for many trips to the “hills” without ever leaving my back yard. Needless to say, the Excursions boot are appropriately named for this rugged lifestyle.

  43. I will wear those boots as I trek through the mangrove scrubland of the Out Islands of The Bahamas, Cat Island in particular. It’s a part of the world that’s removed in ways that are hard to fathom as I sit here in an air conditioned office in the US, but the rough terrain there has worn through more pairs of boots than I can count. I need something for my feet that can resist extreme salinity and rugged terrain but at the same time allow me to drink in how incredibly beautiful that part of the world is. I’m tired of worrying if my boots will hold up during a trek. Yours won’t.

  44. Sure I need new boots for work. Yes they will be used for hiking, fishing, camping and all of the sports I enjoy that required good boots. BUT more importantly, they will keep my feet warm and dry when I am in bed !!!!!!!! Love these boots !!!!!!!!!

  45. I would see how many trails they could gin on while I’m fly fishing, and hunting.

  46. Finally, I need a durable pair of boots to take the dog on all of her excursions as this is just another one of my never ending jobs!

  47. Working around the house. On the tractor, doing yard work and landscaping, and other outdoor chores.

  48. No Rest for these boots! I will put them through their paces at work within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park- hiking trails, walking the historic Cuyahoga valley scenic railroad during track inspections, and similar work on the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail. River and stream crossings will test durability and water resistance for sure! Once work is done then the fun really begins!
Hiking and camping with my 4 and 6 year old all over the Midwest and down into the Smokey Mountains. Gardening with the boys and running all sorts of landscape equipment- rototillers, tractors, chippers, and snow removal in winter. If the true work boot makes the grade, then I would probably buy another pair on my own in a low cut low profile style for everyday wear around town.
If the boot is really awesome, I would email the national uniform coordinator for the National Park Service and tell them to get this boot tested for consideration on the National Uniform Contract- so every NPS employee across the country could have a shot at wearing these! Every natural and cultural icon could be cared for by NPS employees wearing this footwear. Always looking for great made in the USA products!

  49. I wear my work boots every day all day. As a bridge inspector I am climbing steep embankments, ladders and steel and my boots need to be comfortable, but at the end of my work day they need to keep up with my kids hiking, biking or just kicking around a ball. On the weekend if I am not doing side work I will be doing yard work or out hunting if the opportunity arises.

  50. there is no limit to what i would do in these, whether it’ll be from hunting moose in montana or climbing mts. in the adirondacks or just around the yard these boots are incredible.

  51. After giving them a thorough test at work as a Land Surveyor in the Central Idaho Mountains, I would hike, walk dogs, ride my 5 motorcycles, ride horses, fix the tractor, shoot, do yardwork, cut firewood, fix fences, and then wear them to dinner. I rotate my boots so they get a day of rest after each use.

  52. I would take these boots everywhere. From the decks of a fishing boat to the dense forest hunting. Then to the big city. They would be putnto the test.

  53. To the gun range, in the woods, or just out and about on the town. I own a few good pairs of magnum boots already that I wear with my uniform at work and love the way they make my feet feel. It would only make sense to wear them when not in uniform.

  54. In my shop working on farm equipment(and our boat)

  55. These boots are awsome… take a ton of abuse and keep on going…. great to wear out on a hike or getting on the Harley and cruizing..

  56. My Magnum boots will take me anywhere I damn well please to go!

  57. MY Magnum Boots would take me to HELL and BACK … comparing the inner workings of a copper smelter to Hell is appropriate, as this is a tough of a work environment as one can experience. High Temperatures, molten metal, shapr shards, uneven footing … I’ve seen it all, and I need a TOUGH, DURABLE and COMFORTABLE Boot for such environments!!

  58. Like Superman in the womb, my feet will be supernatural titans nourished by life-giving ion-mask protection technology. I’ll be the vanguard of a new movement of specially chosen footwear pioneers. I’ll tread not-lightly over nefarious and sharp erstwhile obstacles with an intrepidness that only an ASTM-approved multiple impact composite safety toe can afford. Reticent I will not be vis-a-vis where I stomp oh devilish construction site would-be foot-wreckers! I will repel liquid and blood borne pathogens. I will choose from a variety of colors and styles. Like a billy goat’s hooves I will scale boulders with unshakably perfect traction! To the bottom of Hell’s Canyon, to the White House, to the best BBQ joints in Virginia, Tennesee and Kentucky, I will live! I WILL LIVE!

  59. I’ll wear the boots for construction work and out working in my yard.
